On A Much Lighter Note

It's been one of those weeks. There has been good stuff, but lots of frustrating stuff too. This morning at 9:45am I was eating whipped cream straight from the can - mighty good I might add. And then this afternoon; nothing like a nice little jolt from the San Andreas Fault to top-off a week of poor sleep, workmen in your house, a fine layer of dust from said workmen and other life complexities. Yes, I love feeling like my nerves are completly on edge. Growing up in 'earthquake country' does not make me immune to them - I probably just hate them all the more. Time for bed, and hopefully some better sleep.

  • Tracy my dear sweet sister whom I love sooo much!! It's your brother here typing from mom's computer!!! Its June 21st and I just drove down here cuz Im on vacation for a week. This is really cool what you are doing here I have enjoyed reading all of your posts. I am so excited that you have started going to Al-Anon I think it will benefit you a whole bunch. Spiritual programs such as Al-Anon and A.A. are so awesome simply in the fact that they are not a religon. If A.A. was a reigion I probably would not still be there just because of my own feelings when it comes to that stuff. A.A. has given me the opportunity to re-connect with my God the way I always wanted to but felt organized religion wouldnt allow me. Im tired too so im gonna try to wrap this up.... After reading some of your stuff I just wanted to suggest and remind you that its always good to remember that I need to have an ATTITUDE OF GRATTITUDE. I know that sometimes it seems a bit overwhelming with all the stuff going on in life but remember that all the things going on in life are blessings and gifts from GOD. We should be so lucky (I dont like using that word) to have all these luxury problems we have today. Next time you are feeling down make out a grattitude list list of everything you are grateful for. It helps me. You and the Little Gentleman are always on that list by the way. One thing I've learned is that Life truly is in session and that things are going to happen wether Im drunk or sober. How I react to those things is where happiness lies. Today and for a while now I have been walking in the sunlight of the spirit and it feels great. Im always reminded that there are no such things as problems, only situations and that God truly doesnt ever give me something that WE cant handle. I dont know If I made any sense but I got all excited when I read your posts and I had to respond. Time for bed I will call you soon. Love Chris
